Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Word files or files generated from these applications are not acceptable.

JCGraphix can provide all ad design services for our clients. We understand however that many clients prefer to use there established ad agencies in order to maintain continuity throughout their advertising campaigns. Advertisements that are produced by an agency other than JCGraphix must meet the following specifications.

Generally, ads should be created using one of the following applications (listed in order of preference):

Adobe InDesign CS2 or earlier
Quark Xpress 6.5 or earlier
Adobe Photoshop CS2 or earlier
Pagemaker 6.5 or earlier

PDFs generated from these applicatons are preferred over the native files. If you send native files, please be sure you include copies of all fonts and images used in the document.

All files provided by clients or their ad agencies are subject to approval by JCGraphix.

Client supplied ads must be in one of the following formats.

• MacIntosh or Macintosh compatible.
• Quark Xpress 4.11 up to 6.5 for the Mac (fonts and all support files must be provided - perform a "Collect For Output"). Be sure all photos meet the JPEG/TIFF requirements.
• EPS file (fonts must be outlined) (no psd eps files accepted)
• JPEG file of at least 600 dpi at 100% of the size the ad will print. If text or artwork is involved, 1200 dpi is preferred. Must be Grayscale or CMYK mode.
• TIFF file of at least 600 dpi at 100% of the size the ad will print. If text or artwork is involved, 1200 dpi is preferred. Must be Grayscale or CMYK mode.
• PDF v4.0 or greater compatibility (all fonts embedded). Be sure all photos meet above JPEG/TIFF requirements before producing the PDF.
• Adobe Illustrator CS2 (12.01) or less, preferably Mac generated (fonts must be outlined and links imbedded). Be sure all photos meet the above JPEG/TIFF requirements.
• Adobe InDesign CS2 (4.0) Mac or less (Fonts must be outlined or provided with the file. All support documents must be provided - perform a "Package" It is advised that you "Preflight" this beforehand.). Be sure all photos meet the above JPEG/TIFF requirements. Use of 3rd party plug-ins is not recommended.
• Quark Xpress 6.5 Mac or less. Windows version is acceptable, but all fonts should be converted to boxes. Be sure all photos meet the above JPEG/TIFF requirements. Use of 3rd party xtensions is not recommended.
