About the ChAmber
OuR VISIOn
To be the principal driver of economic prosperity for the greater Comfort area and serve as a model for other rural, unincorporated communities.
OuR MISSIOn
To support and promote the growth and success of our members and the Comfort community while preserving our unique heritage.
Comfort, Texas, has been home to a Chamber of Commerce since 1946, established to serve the business community, visitors and residents in Comfort and the surrounding area. In addition to our local members, our membership has grown to include businesses in Boerne, Center Point, Fredericksburg, Kerrville, San Antonio, Sisterdale and Waring. The Chamber is now known as the Comfort Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center.
Comfort hosts a number of annual community events, many of which are sponsored directly by
the Comfort Chamber: Town Wide Garage Sale, monthly Music in the Park from May through October, Independence Day Celebration with a morning Parade through the Historic District, followed by a Picnic in the Park. Fall highlights feature October’s Scarecrow Invasion, Fall Art Festival, and Comfort Empty Bowls. November brings Diva Day and Girls’ Night Out. And the month concludes with our outdoor Christmas in Comfort Extravaganza, featuring arts and crafts booths, a food court, live music throughout the downtown Historic District, unique shops, eateries, wineries, and a lighted night parade plus reworks to top o the event.
The Chamber website – www.ComfortChamber.com – supports the Comfort area, our members and visitors with individual pages for each Chamber Business Member. We also hold monthly Mixers for our members and the community, member luncheons, and an annual dinner and gala.
The Chamber O ce is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 3 pm. We invite our members to provide us with rack cards, brochures, business cards and other promotional materials that are available to visitors, new residents, community members and area businesses.
Our Comfort community includes a wide variety of Bed & Breakfasts, Guest Houses, and a selection of Historic accommodations for our overnight and vacationing guests. We look forward to visiting with you at the Chamber O ce and sharing information about the area’s history, places to go and things to see. Comforts’ location is just minutes to Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Boerne, Bandara, and San Antonio.
We hope you will visit Comfort soon ... and often!
