Know all Men by these Presents. That whereas. On the 12th day of January A.D. 1892 in an action then pending in the District Court of Bourbon County in the Sixth Judicial District of the State of Kansas, wherein L.B. Lance was plaintiff and W.S. Lockard, Caroline Lockard, Elizabeth Mosty and L.A. Mosty were defendants, said plaintiff recovered a judgement in said Court against said defendants W.S. Lockard and Caroline Lockard for the sum of Six Hundred Eighty Five and 88/100 Dollars debt and $29.30, cost of said action, and that said judgement for $685.88 loan interest at the rate of 12 per cent per annum from the date of the rendition thereof.
And Whereas. On said day in said cause, in said Court, it was further considered, ordered and adjudged and a further judgement was rendered against said defendants W.S. Lockard and Caroline Lockard that in case said defendants should fail for 48 days from said 12th day of January A.D. 1892, to pay said plaintiff said sum of $685.88 together with the interest and the costs of said action an order of sale issue to the Sheriff of said County of Bourbon in the State of Kansas commanding him to advertise and sell, according to law and with appraisement, the following described lands and tenements to wit:
