COMFORT
MIDDLE SCHOOL

Currently, over 256 students in Grades 6-8 are situated on a campus steeped
in Comfort history. The Middle School Campus covers one square block in the center of the community. The main building, constructed as a 1939 WPA project (Work Project Administration),
is complemented by an up-to-date 15 classroom addition, including a modern gym facility. The original block limestone building, built in 1893 and expanded
in 1922, serves as the district’s Central Administration O ce. The campus is technologically advanced, with computer labs networked, and Internet access in every classroom. Located o -campus, are the middle school athletic eld house and football stadium.

Comfort Elementary School serves
just under 500 students in grades Pre-K through 5. The campus features a ve- wing, one-story layout with dedicated gymnasium and cafetorium buildings. In addition to a strong core curriculum and a schoolwide focus on reading pro ciency, CES o ers formal classes in Physical Education, Music, and Art for all students. This year, CES is launching a Pre-K 4 dual- language program, which will expand each year to serve additional grade levels, supporting bilingualism and biliteracy. The campus also includes multiple age-appropriate playgrounds designed
to meet the developmental needs of all students.
COMFORT
HIGH SCHOOL

Nestled in the heart of the Hill Country just north of Interstate 10, Comfort High School serves just over 350 students
in grades 9-12. The outer walls of the building consist of native limestone rock and a replica bell tower that harkens back to the original bell tower that originated in the second Comfort school building
in 1866. The main building, built in 1997, features two main hallways, two cross hallways, a cafetorium and an auxiliary gymnasium along with a Health Science wing and an updated Chemistry lab. The Agricultural Science Complex and Building Trades Complex is located in the back
of the campus. A new Multi-Purpose Center/Gymnasium was added in 2022. CHS o ers a solid core curriculum with
a variety of Dual Credit opportunities
and formal classes in Music, Art, and Physical Education. Additionally, CHS o ers a variety of CTE classes and features several highly successful student-led organizations such as FCCLA, HOSA, and Interact Club.
