niclous musty was LA Mosty’s father. As with LA Mosty, in searching various genealogy websites I found various spellings of his rst name. Niclous (as shown above from FindAGrave. com), Nicolaus, Nicklaus, Nicholaz, etc. The prevalent spelling seems to be Niclous and that is in fact how it is spelled on his grave obelisk. And, as seen above, even the date of death on the obelisk and FindAGrave.com are in con ict. One thing I’ve learned in researching - genealogy websites cannot be trusted. And, many are starting to use arti cial intelligence (AI) and state on the website it is prone to errors. I’ve found that gravestones and scanned o cial documents are generally be the most reliable sources.
