... Street Courts are now located, 1700 Water St.
From A St - the - river & back to Quinlan Creek was open land. Known as Tivy Flat. Later this land was fenced & put into a eld for a number of years. We bought the place later known as the Mosty Farm. [Authors Note: This is where MG Building Materials and Texas Tree Service is now located, and more land west and east. See next page for more details.] Then went back to Lampasas to move what furniture & tools we had. Came back by wagon & set up our tent under the Live Oak Tree just across the San Antonio road & west from the greenhouse located now in the SW fence of the San Antonio Road.

The house on the place then was located where Mr. Woods home now is located on lot #4 Mosty Addition to Kerrville. [Authors Note: See next page for more details.] We brought about a peck of peach seed from the Dick Huling seedling orchard which was located on the Lometa Road out of Lampasas. Lee & I planted these in a nursery row. Later a friend Mr. JW Jump who lived in town became interested in Lee & I. He knew how to bud & graft. He came out & showed us how to bud the peach trees.
