Harvey describes his family buying land shortly after arriving in Kerrville, which is later named Mosty Farm, and the original Mosty Family home being on Lot 4 of the Mosty Addition The diagram at left shows the location of Mosty Farm & Mosty Addition - based on my research at the Kerr County deed records and the Kerrville Central Appraisal District website property search The location of homesites (none exist anymore) are shown on the diagram I did  nd an approved plat with Field Notes for the Mosty Addition which provided details for locating the property
FIELD NOTES FOR HARVEY MOSTY ADDITION: ~
All that certain tract or parcel of land, lying and being in the County of Kerr and The State of Texas comprising 787 acres
of land, of which 090 acre is in three streets, out of Original Survey No 113 Samuel Wallace Certi cate No 506 Abstract No 347 and being more of less particularly described by metes and bounds, as follows, to wit:
BEGINNING at an iron stake in the Northeast line of 80 foot right of way of State Highway No 27, located 868 feet N 45a
E, 299 feet 345a E, and 609 feet 338a - 46’ E from the upper or West corner of Survey No 113 Samuel Wallace on the NE bank of the Guadalupe River;
THENCE along the NE Right of Way line of said Highway No 27, S 38a - 46’ E 7936 feet to an iron stake and fence corner in the SE line of the Mosty property;
THENCE along the SE line of the Mosty property N 45a E 423 feet to fence corner and iron stake at its intersection with the SW line of 100 foot right of way of, SP Railroad;
THENCE with the said Railroad Right of Way N 37a - 06’W 7934 feet to and iron stake, set for the East corner of that 55 acre tract which was conveyed by Harvey Mosty and wife to JO McKnight and wife
by deed dated June 30, 1951 and recorded in Volume 91 Page 94 at the deed records of Kerr County;
THENCE with the SE line of said JO McKnight tract, W 45a - 05’ W 446 feet to the place of beginning
This tract being out of that 17 acre tract which was conveyed to Harvey Mosty and Lee Mosty by Mrs Elizabeth Mosty, et al, by Warranty Deed dated March 24, 1926 as recorded in Volume 45 Page 426 of the Deed Records of Kerr County; and his interest conveyed By Lee Mosty to Harvey Mosty by Warranty Deed dated April 15, 1932 and recorded in Volume 54 Page 540 of the Deed Records of Kerr County
COUNTY OF KERR - STATE OF TEXAS
Know all men by these presents, that we the undersigned owners of the herein described tract of land, do hereby adopt the plat whereon this is inscribed as a subdivision of Kerr County, to be known as HARVEY MOSTY ADDITION, and do hereby dedicate to the Public, for public use forever, the streets as shown hereon
Witness our hand at Kerrville, Texas this 9th day of August, AD 1955

Before me a Notary Public, in and for Kerr County, Texas, on this day personally appeared Harvey Mosty and Margaret Mosty, his wife, both known to me to be the persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing instrument and acknowledged to me that they executed the same for the purposes and consideration expressed; and the said Margaret Mosty, having been examined by me privily and apart from her husband
and having the same by me fully explained to her, the said Margaret Mosty acknowledged such instrument to be her act and deed, and declared that she had willingly signed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed, and that she did not wish to retract it
